Tall Pines Festival in Atlanta, Texas is happening right now! So many exciting things are going to take place including performances and appearances by:

Nigeria Update!
Mike along with 4 other team members are in Jos, Nigeria for the 3rd annual “New Life for All” Evangelism training conference. Without a doubt, the Lord is moving in a mighty way!
Here’s what has happened so far:
Praise God for the way He can use us- ordinary people- for His extraordinary purpose!

Here’s what has happened so far:
- There have been an estimated 4,000 attendees who traveled from all over Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Cameroon and even 1 from Egypt.
- The team is healthy and well so far, but please continue to pray for God’s steadfast hand over each one of them.
- Mike has spoken 4 of 6 scheduled messages. He will close the conference on Friday with a message entitled, “The Urgency for Evangelism.”
- Please lift Mike up in prayer- for protection over his throat and voice, his health, strength and that the Holy Spirit would continue to speak powerfully and supernaturally through him!

HopeFest 2009 - Chicago - Humbolt Park
The MSI team participated in HopeFest 2009. The official crowd size still hasn't been determined but early estimates show more than 15,000 people attended the event. Mike Silva presented the Gospel to those who attended. The purpose of the event is to serve the children of Humbolt Park and provide them with everything they need to start the school year.

1st Container packed full of food has been shipped to Nicaragua!
World in Need partnered with us to send out the first huge container of food to the people of one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere, Nicaragua, as part of our compassion aide project. We sent 60 barrels of dried vegetable soup and 800 buckets of dried
peaches
and nectarines. The soup will have 59 sealed bags in each barrel-- providing 7,000 servings and a total of 420,000 servings! 960 buckets (23,500 pounds) of dried fruit were also sent. All together we
sent 27 pallets and 43,500 pounds of food in this container! How exciting it is to know that this is just the beginning of our outreach to Nicaragua!
It's hard to believe ...
It's hard to believe that our last festival in San Pedro Sula, Honduras happened 4 months ago! We are so thankful for what God continues to do among the city and people and now we are looking forward to our next festival held in the inner-city of Chicago, Illinois on September 5th. This will be a "Back 2 School" outreach offering health screenings, haircuts, uniforms, over 5,000 backpacks full of school supplies, music, games, and much more. And the best part- it's free to the public! Stay tuned for live updates and pictures; and join us in lifting up the city of Chicago in prayer. God is on the move and we get to be a part of the journey!
